As the death toll from the 2nd major aftershock 7.3 rector scale in Nepal surpassed 57 Tuesday, many survivors spent a fourth excruciating night sleeping on the streets. Rain soaked those who had decided to sleep outside for fear of aftershocks toppling more buildings, and those who had no shelter to which they could return after Saturday’s 7.3-magnitude quake. Causing widespread panic and casualties just over two weeks after a devastating tremor killed more than 8,000 people, injured 18,000 and destroyed hundreds of thousands of homes. At least four people were killed in the town of Chautara in Sindhupalchok district, north of Kathmandu, after several buildings collapsed and more than a dozen were injured in landslides. Sindhupalchok suffered the heaviest death toll in last month’s quake.
