Manakamana after the earthquake

The group that was sent to study the damage by earthquake on religious along with historical monument in the lead of architect engineer Krishna Gopal Prajapati has return to Kathmandu.They have studied the damage in the Manakamana temple in Gorkha. They have managed some architectural support to the temple to reduce more damage from the earthquake.

They have somehow fixed the pillars of the temple which were gone inclined due the earthquake and manage to keep it safe until its reconstruction.According to the priest of the temple they are going to manage the pilgrims by introducing another small temple inside while reconstructing the whole temple.Right now the religious works like offering and regular worship are not being held.After this temple work has been stopped the cable car transportation is also stopped for now. Instead they are being used to bring in donated material for the victim and for rescuing purpose.

The housed near the temple has got damaged along with dozens of other house has also got the damage.The earthquake which hit the country making centre at Gorkha of magnitude 7.6 has stopped the daily ritual in the Manakamana Temple. the Manakamana development Fund claimed that they are quickly going for the reconstruction of the temple and start off the ritual works as always.
