Lion saves baby calf

Lion is big cats known as the “King of the Jungle. A group of lions is called a pride. Lions are the only truly social cats. At now, number of lions decline. They are found in Africa and India where they sit at the top of the food chain. African lions – The scientific name for the lions in Africa is Panthera Leo. They can make such a loud roar because the cartilage in their throats has turned into bone. They tend to roar more at night. Lions are also very dangerous animal. When it finds other animals it directly attracts. So, other animals fear with lion. Unlike other cats, lions are very social animals. Lions will live about 15 years in the wild.
Lions live in groups, called prides, of around 30 lions. A pride consists of up to three males, a dozen related females, and their young. The size of the pride is determined by the availability of food and water. If resources are scarce, the pride becomes smaller. Beside these, lion is very dangerous animal but it does not scare with others animals. The world’s wild lion population has been diminishing for several years. Lions are now endangered animals. Numbers of lions are reducing day by day. The main reason behind this is habitat extinction. Lions are live in arid forests, flooded forests, and tropical forests. Lions eat the meat of pigs, rhinos, deer and other animals. Lion is carnivores animal. Male lions are distinguishable for their impressive manes, which signifies their masculinity and reflects their health. Lions are famous for their loud roar which can be heard up to 5 miles away.
